ads/lassies,
following on from my comment at the AGM that TTC was really just Triangle Swimming Club in disguise, i realised that i didn't put forward any suggestions for any running or biking sessions. so here goes......
i know the Magherafelt crew have a brick session once a week so maybe the coleraine/portrush/p'stewart/b'money folk should have one too? so i propose that on a monday night (from 8ish??) that folk could come round to my house in portrush (wouldn't say it's as big as Peter Jack's...my house that is!!) armed with turbos, bikes and runnin gear and we could have a brick session. we could set the turbos up on the patio out the back (fair sized level space) and then do some running work somewhere out on the coast. as a group would all have differing abilities, the use of the turbo seems a good idea, and then like we did at the weekend training session, running out and back for a set time would mean evryone arriving back at turbos at same time. If it rains, maybe we just head out on the bikes rather than the turbos. other ideas will be gratefully received. i'll certainly set out a few sessions and happily take advice and sessions from other people.if people have ideas for an alternative venue, let me know.
good to see that there seems to be some other ideas for club activities such as the monthly spins on the bike. i just felt that if we were a triathlon club, we should do a bit of running and cycling together too. i know some folk are involved in cycling and running clubs too but i think its good to do things as a triathlon club so we develop a bit of club spirit and comaraderie etc!!! maybe sounds corny but sure....!!!
anyways, let me know who would be interested and then we can get it started. i know that a monday will not suit everyone but i babysit on tuesday night and work wednesday and thursday and drink beer on friday so....tough!!
NUMBERS AND INTERESTED PARTIES PLEASE.............
Take er handy,
