From Anne
thought it would be beneficial particularly those doing Nice/IM to start and put in a long brick once per month instead of doing yet another long sun morning bike. Therefore,I suggest :
a 3hr brick this sun 8th March: 2hr aerobic bike (av 16-18mph) on a hilly course followed by a 1hr aerobic run.
Leave : car park at Garvagh forest at 9.30am
Run will be loops in the forest afterwards (off road and easier on the legs.)
This could be a starting point for the ironmen and then each month add an extra half hour to the bike.
It should be possible to organise ourselves into groups I can give everyone the bike route (short cuts possible ! )and you can run as little or as much as you want afterwards doing loops around the forest.
Garvagh is a lovely forest to run in and is quite central for a halfway meeting point for Magherafelt/Coleraine.
Please note this is not another coaching day where I am looking after everybody. It is a training session where you find your own way back at your own pace which may or may not be with others.Let me know if there are any takers and if yes I will make a definite commitment to be there. For those planning to do the Irish duathlon c’ships on April 5th in Derry this would also be valuable training.

Just to confirm that there will be a Brick Session this Sunday at 9.30 a.m. (PROMPT) for 2 hr. Bike on a hilly course and then a 1hr. Run. The theory is that every month a ½ hr. Will be added to the bike and there are also short cuts available on the bike course - yippee! .
